YOUR REGIMENT IN A FEW WORDS
Le 11e Régiment d'Artillerie de Marine (RAMa) est une unité prestigieuse de l'armée française, qui trouve ses origines dans les premières années du XIXe siècle. Créé en 1822, le 11e RAMa est l'un des régiments les plus anciens et les plus décorés de l'armée française.
Initialement formé pour soutenir les opérations de la Marine, le régiment a été déployé dans de nombreux théâtres d'opérations, tant en métropole qu'en outre-mer. Il a participé à des campagnes militaires de grande envergure, notamment en Afrique du Nord, en Indochine, et plus récemment au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique.
Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, le 11e RAMa a combattu sur le front occidental, apportant un soutien crucial aux troupes engagées dans les combats. Il s'est notamment illustré lors de la bataille de Verdun et de la bataille de la Somme, marquant ainsi son engagement et sa bravoure sur les champs de bataille les plus meurtriers de l'époque.
